Use of our Simulator

After the DA-42 systems ground school is completed an introduction session is done in the FTD; Cockpit lay-out, start up and shut down procedures and Garmin 1000 procedures and setting. A simulated flight will take you through the basic handling characteristics of the DA-42, the pre-maneuver checks and the power settings for the various maneuvers. An engine failure will be demonstrated as well as various Garmin 1000 failure scenarios.

Throughout your Multi engine training you will return to the FTD to learn new procedures in a controlled environment first.

The FTD is a fantastic tool to simulate emergencies that are either not possible to simulate in the actual aircraft (eg engine fire indications ) or simply too dangerous to practice in a training environment, eg engine failures at rotation or just after rotation.

If you are also working towards being Instrument rated Multi engine then Instrument training to proficiency (single engine approaches!) is conducted in the FTD to provide you with a maximum efficient training environment.

The FTD is also available for refresher Instrument or Multi engine training in general.

Pilot Training Briefing

It is the nature of people to enhance their abilities and seek out new experiences. To take advantage of the extended horizons that flying can offer, you will need to acquire new knowledge and expertise, which our training will provide.

We strive for excellence in providing you with quality flight training! In order to accomplish this goal we utilize a flight training management program called ETA. This program enables you to be involved with every aspect of your flight training.

You will be enrolled in ETA for each course separately since your needs are different for every course. There is a Pilot Training Briefing fee of $69.00 associated with enrolling in each course.

This enrollment process will benefit you in many ways. You will receive an individualized training plan for each course once you discuss your needs with your primary flight instructor and staff instructor. During the Pilot Training Briefing, your instructor and the administrative team will help you complete all necessary paperwork, including TSA requirements if applicable. You will also be provided with a Flight Safety Manual and Training Course Outline as approved by the FAA for Part 141 operation. Your account will be set up and activated the first day you start your training.
